Dreamz Unlimited this time collaborate with UTV Motion Pictures to present 'Chalte Chalte'. The movie has legendary personality of films, Javed Akhtar as a lyricist. Composers duo Jatin-Lalit and Aadesh Shrivastava arranged music.
The film opens up with a group of youngsters discussing love stories as one of them is getting engaged. The couple starts talking about the great love story of Raj and Priya and thus we are introduced to Raj (Shah Rukh Khan), a truck driver who runs his own truck driving company. Raj meets Priya (Rani Mukherji) after the two almost get into an accident. Raj is immediately smitten by Priya who can’t stop talking about what an insolent driver Raj is. A few light moments later, the two end up spending a great deal of time together. Priya gives Raj her number but the laundry man washes his pants with the number in it causing it to fade away.

Raj tries to find Priya but when he does, Priya has already agreed to a pre-arranged marriage with her childhood friend Sameer (Jas Arora). Raj tries to convince her otherwise but eventually she gets on the plane to Greece, Athens, where her family lives and Raj follows her. Raj and Priya get even closer as the plan has to take a detour due to bad weather in Athens. Again, Raj tries to convince Priya to leave with him and marry him but Priya says no. Due to the continuous bad weather, Raj ends up driving Priya to her family’s home and gives a final goodbye. But as the ceremony begins, Priya realizes that she really loves Raj more and runs off with him after getting her father’s consent.
Raj and Priya live a happy life until real marital problems start kicking in. Situations like cleanliness, yelling, and the major one of financial issues cause a rift in the marriage. Eventually the couple splits after Priya borrows money from Sameer to help Raj and his ailing company and lies to Raj saying it is from her fashion work in Athens. Raj comes to know the truth and they seperate. What happens next forms the climax which is easily predicted.

Shah Rukh Khan and even Rani Mukherji are so used to do these type of scenes, it was a piece of cake for them to display their emotions. The first half just drags on with Raj wooing Priya while the second half just gets straight into their muddly marital relationship. It was fun watching Shah rukh in the first half. Rani looks great. The movie has romance, comedy, a few contrived emotional scenes and melody all over.
